Kill Tartarus:
Whatever you do, don't try to run up to him and attempt to poke his guts out with your sword... it doesn't work well. Brute Shot works well here, and Carbine is AWESOME. If you can find a Beam Rifle (covenant sniper), jump on the rotating platform circling the main platform (the one with 3 levels) and head-shoot the brute from there. However, stay cautious of the other platform that rotates the opposite way, and tends to knock you to your death.
Note: Don't be a hot head and charge head on with Tartarus like your Elite allies. Instead, wait for johnson (the marine dude with the beam rifle) to shoot him a few times and when he does, he destroys Tartarus' shields. When that fog thingy dissipates, HIT HIM HARD. Carbine, sniper, shotgun (as long as you keep your distance), all work well here. But don't get too close, 'cause that giant warhammer he has is a 1-HIT K'O!

Tip against Elites:
In legendary mode, those elites can prove to be quite problematic. The red dudes take about 11 bursts (33 bullets) of headshots from your battle rifle to kill. After you've killed around 10 elites, you've probably exhausted all your ammo, and then you die. But the weakest gun (or so you thought) should save your butt. PLASMA PISTOL!!! *drumroll*. If you charge it to full, and let it loose against those squid-headed freaks, it should take out all their shields. Then all it takes are some tasty bullets from your battle rifle to finish them off. It's a great ammo saver.
This tip even works for the golden elites, honor guards, and even the white/silver elites that draw their sword when they get 'ticked' off.
Happy Hunting!

Vehicles:
COVENANT
Ghost:
This is a pretty powerful vehicle, but it's main purpose is probably reconaissance (sp?) and getting to places a lot quicker. It's okay as an attack vehicle, but a player with a sniper or any other powerful gun may result in your doom. Hold the left trigger down for a speed boost, and when charging off a ramp you can do a wheelie by moving the left thumbstick down and holding A at the same time. NOTE: THE GHOST HAS A MAJOR WEAKNESS. NOTICE THE CIRCULAR BUMP ON THE LEFT SIDE (driver's left). IF YOU CAN SHOOT THAT BUMP WITH A SNIPER OR MAYBE A CARBINE OR BATTLE RIFLE (sniper works best), YOU CAN BLOW THE GHOST UP INSTANTLY!!! ;D ;D ;D
Banshee:
The Banshee is an awesome fighter that is fast, agile, maneuverable, and has pretty good firepower. The fuel rod cannon can only be used in campaign, but you can execute a barrel-roll (left + A or right + A) and also a loop-dee-loop (down + A). It is more armored than a Ghost, and provides good protection against pesky snipers.
Spectre:
The Covenant's answer to the UNSC Warthog, though STINKS compared to the human version in terms of firepower, armor, and speed. The rear-mounted gun of the Spectre is rather weak, and the occupants are fairly exposed to snipers. The speed stinks too. The only advantage of the Spectre, is the fact it can hold two pas.sengers in addition to the gunner and driver. When used well, the Spectre is a force to be reckoned with.
Wraith:
The Covenant equivalent to the human Scorpion tank. Slow, intimidating, and heavy armor and firepower makes this tank one of the most powerful forces in the Halo 2 universe (jk). In terms of armor and firepower, the Wraith is dwarfed by the Scorpion, but faster firing rate and better speed could even the scores. The mas.sive, blue projectiles the Wraith fires, may look like the end of the world or something, but the Scorpion shells are a lot more powerful. The Wraith has a limited speed boost that can be activated with the touch of the left trigger. In general, this tank is an awesome attack force and is beyond doubt the Covenant's most powerful ground as.sault vehicle (next to the Scarab).
HUMANS
Warthog (machine gun):
The main ground as.sault craft of the humans. The occupants are fairly protected against enemy fire, and the machine gun deals fair damage. The Warthog is one of the fastest vehicles in the game, next to the Ghost while boosting. The armor is fairly light, and it can be easily flipped or rolled over.
Warthog (gauss cannon):
Identical to other Warthogs, except it has a rear mounted gauss cannon that replaces the machine gun. This 'hog is ten times more powerful than the conventional one, for the gauss cannon is almost equal to the scorpion in terms of damage. A direct hit to the enemy is a 1 HIT K'O, and firing it at a Ghost or Warthog will probably flip, or destroy it. Firing it at a Banshee will knock it off course (knock it to the side a little).
Scorpion:
66 tons of pure titanium, machinery, and bomb shells, the Scorpion is undoubtedly the most powerful pilot-able vehicle in the game. The shell is a 1 HIT K'O if it's a direct hit or near a direct hit. The secondary machine gun can also deal some damage, and the ceramic-titanium armor makes this bulldozer near invincible. Only recommended for n00bs and players out for revenge. Rockets do best against these titans, and hi-jacking is also an option. ;D ;D ;D

Covenant Grunt Classes: -yellow/orange (rookie) -red (veteran) -black (special ops.) -green (gunner) -Heretic Weapons: Plasma Pistol, Needler, Plasma Grenades armor: VERY WEAK Description: Roughly 5' tall and fairly weak, the Grunts make up a lot of the Covenant forces. Small and built slow, the Grunts tend to cower when faced by superior foes. Singles pose very little threat, yet not very dangerous when faced in groups. Orange Grunts are the lowest of the low, and cower very easily. Red ones are ranked higher and slightly braver and have a bit more accuracy, but are still fairly weak. Black ones are probably the 'elites' of the Grunts, and have improved a lot from the red and orange ones. Their usually carry around more powerful guns, and tend to throw grenades WAY more often. Green Grunts are almost always seen using a Plasma Turret, and should be killed first when fighting a huge Covenant horde. Jackal Classes: -blue shield (rookie) -yellow shield (veteran) -sniper Weapons: Plasma Pistol, Particle Beam Rifle armor: WEAK (excluding shield) Description: About 5'8" from head to toe, the Jackals are probably the weakest of the Covenant in terms of physical strength. But to make up for it, they carry Energy Shields around with them for protection. Projectile weapons are almost useless against the shields, but can be easily destroyed by energy weapons (Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle etc.). Jackals are excellent shots, so you should take cover when fighting them on higher difficulties. Jackals with blue shields are fairly easy to kill. Jackals with yellow shields are a bit more accurate, and have a bit more HP, but still pretty easy to kill. Jackals with snipers, now that's a totally different stories. Instead of carrying an energy shield, they use a Beam Rifle instead. On easy and normal, they aren't that much trouble, but on heroic and legendary, they can be a P.I.T.A!!! On heroic, they are VERY accurate, and each shot depletes your shields. On legendary, one shot is a 1-hit KO. The enemy snipers have WAAAAAAYYYY better reflexes than you, and they barely ever miss (unless you're taking cover). EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!! Drone Classes: none Weapons: Plasma Pistol, Needler armor: VERY WEAK Description: Often referred to as 'buggers', the Drones resemble giant flying bugs. Their weapons aren't very powerful, but they are excellent shots and they ALWAYS appear in swarms. Drones present minimal threat in lower difficulties, but on heroic and legendary, if you don't take cover, you'll be dead before you can say "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!!?". They shoot the Plasma Pistol very fast, so before you can react to the situation, you'll be watching yourself getting sprayed by green trails from a dozen different angles. The UNSC Battle Rifle work best against these guys, but because every time they shoot you have to take your eyes off the scope, a less accurate weapon (like SMG) works against these guys as well. Elite Classes -blue (rookie) -red (veteran) -black (spec. ops) -white (spec. ops command -gold (command) -blue w/ jetpacks (aerial assault) -grey (camouflage) -honor guard -white/silver (Praetor) Weapons: Plasma Pistol*, Plasma Rifle*, Needler*, Fuel Rod Gun, Covenant Carbine, Particle Beam Rifle, Energy Sword armor: STRONG Description: Measured to be about 8'6", the Elites are the core of the Covenant army. Calculating strategists, great tacticians, variety of weaponry, and incredible firepower makes these guys equal to SPARTAN's in every way. They can wield anything from the basic Plasma Pistol to the one-man-army Energy Sword. On easy, normal and heroic they might not be THAT problematic, but on legendary, if you don't have grenades, a Plasma Pistol or heavy weapons, you're fried. A red Elite takes about 33 headshots (11 bursts) from a Battle Rifle to kill on legendary, so get a Plasma Pistol (like I posted earlier), to take out his shields, and all it takes is for 1-3 bursts to kill him. A white Elite takes about 3-4 shots from a sniper/beam rifle to kill, so be aware! When a white Elite gets mad, he'll drop his normal weapon, roar madly, then whip out an Energy Sword and cut you to pieces. PRIORITIZE THESE TARGETS AND TAKE THEM OUT QUICKLY!!! Praetors can be easily distinguished by their huge head armor, and they almost always carry an Energy Sword around. *=sometimes dual-wielded Brute Classes -brown fur (rookie) -tan fur (veteran) -tan fur w/ energy flag (captain) -honor guard Weapons: Brute Plasma Rifle, Brute Shot, Covenant Carbine armor: STRONG Description: Somewhat a twisted version of a gorilla and rhino put together. They are incredible in physical strength, but they can't strategize and have mediocre aim. They are very numerous, and normally take incredible amounts of ammunition to kill. However, sniper weapons are awesome against these brutes, but the Covenant Carbine works even better. A few headshots, and you get yourself a dead ape. When a Brute gets angry or when he's the only one left, he'll abandon his weapon and rush you. This is called BESERKING!!! When a Brute goes beserk, you're screwed if you let him get up close. Either get a Carbine and headshoot him a couple of times, or get an Energy Sword and jump-lunge him. Either way, prioritize these targets and kill them quickly. Hunter Classes: none Weapons: hand mounted Fuel Rod Cannon, metal shield armor: UNBREACHABLE (blue), WEAK (orange parts) Description: These living tanks are roughly 12' tall, but only 8 feet when crouched down. Although very few in number and always appear in pairs, the Hunters are still INESTIMABLY DANGEROUS ENEMIES! Their blue armor is unbreachable, so the only way to kill them is to aim for their soft orange flesh. Their Fuel Rod Cannon integrated into their armor is extremely powerful, shooting a beam of superheated plasma that lasts for about 1.5 -2 seconds. On legendary, this is a 1 hit KO, and on heroic it depletes your shields. When you get close to a Hunter, it rushes towards you, and attempts to bash you with its shield. This attack is even more powerful than the FRC blast. It is harder to dodge than the one in Halo: CE, and even if you do, the Hunter will use an overhead bash to kill you behind it, new in Halo 2. Sniper weapons work best against these walking tanks. Shotgun works like a charm in easier difficulties, but on higher ones it isn't AS useful, but works fine. Melee and Energy Swords have absolutely no effect. Also, when a Hunter is close to you, stick a Plasma Grenade to them. This causes them to temporarily lose their sense of direction, and run the opposite way. This gives you an opportunity to snipe them, but if you miss they will turn around and try to bash you again. Good Luck!

The Flood ...suddenly the lights flicker off, leaving you and two other marines in darkness. The room fills with an odour, one you've never smelled before. You hear banging, all around you. Then one of your marines scream in pain, but you cannot see where he is. The gunfire lit the room for a few seconds, and you can make out the silouhette of little crawling things. The screaming stops, and so does the gunfire. You hear two thuds, your marines drop to the floor, dead. Suddenly something, a creature with at least 6 legs leaps up against your face, sucking at you. You begin screaming, as its tentacles rip open your flesh. Five more of those creatures attach themselves to you, and ten seconds later you could not breathe anymore. Another creature attaches itself to your chest, ripping it open... OK, if u havent played Halo 2 before, then u probably wont know what the Flood are. They're basically a race of parasitic creatures that infest host organisms, and turn them into their own men. Apparently, they have no leader or any form of hierarchy, and all they try to do is consume everything in the universe. Before different kinds of Flood existed, there were probably only Floodlings, small parasitic creatures that crawl up to and try to suck your internal organs out... When the 'food' dies, they drill to the center of the victim and attach themselves to their spine. The host begins to mutate and twist, until finally they become a Flood Combat Form. In combat, they have pretty much no strategy at all. When youre far away, they just keep on shooting u. When youre in range, they run at u and try to claw u. When youre above them, they make a huge leap and try to claw u. When the Combat Forms become heavily damage, they begin to limp, and soon they transform (u dont see the process) into big, bloaty Carrier Forms. When a Carrier Form spots you, they slowly limp towards you. When theyre in range, they fall down, swell to the size of a hippo, and they detonate, releasing about 5 additional Floodlings, or Infection Forms (i exaggerated on the size). The process repeats, and repeats, until one day they all somehow die. OK enough about Flood history, and let's cut to the chase. When a Combat Form (Elite or Marine) is turned towards you, you should be able to see 2-3 tentacles sticking out of their chest areas. These are the legs of the Floodlings. If you can shoot them (Battle Rifle and Carbine work best), you can kill the Combat Form itself instantly. I've never tried this with a real sniper, since they had almost no effect against Combat Forms in Halo: CE, but I'm pretty sure it will work, not as well though. Note: The paragraph I wrote is not from the games or the books. I MADE IT UP MYSELF!!!
